Truly, I can see the damages being okay if the defendant SOLD the recordings rather than shared them. The large companies are finding little people to pick on and make examples out of.

All I can say is if you continue to use sharing types of sites or upload sites – be careful. And we also need to keep an eye on Congress as they are still trying to strengthen the federal laws.
